In spring 2010, while on a trip in Morocco, Jacques Pissenem met by chance the famous calligraphist Sadik Haddari.

These two men from different worlds and cultures became friends and soon collaborated artistically.

In March 2011, Sadik Haddari arrived in France in the mountains covered with snow. He first immersed himself in Jacques Pissenem's work before initiating him into Arabian calligraphy.

For the chain saw of Jacques Pissenem to become as light as Sadik Haddari's qalam, he had to come to term with the fondamental nature of the calligraphist's gesture.

As Sadik says « People's minds are at the end of their qalam »and he confirms it watching Jacques Pissenem sculpting with his heart, leaving technical coercions behind and keeping only the beauty of the curves.

An unlikely blend of techology and cultures, fruit of an astonishing artistic sharing, a set of 3D calligraphies was made. The two artists are considering embarking on new projects. They wish to propose conferences about calligraphies while creating pieces, one with his qalam and the other with his chain saw.
